The month of July was a good month across most Technical Consumer Goods sectors as it was the month just before the Hari Raya festivities. Product categories such as Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics saw a spurt in sales this month following a mix of both heavy promotional ctivities and increased spending by consumers in preparation for the holidays.

In the first six month of 2013, technical consumer goods in Malaysia experienced an upward trend of 7.5% in units and 13% in value compared to the corresponding period in 2012. The key growth engines which registered double digit value expansion were Home Appliances and Telecommunication.
